Effective MMA requires a strong foundation in striking and grappling so that students learn how to combine essential techniques from various martial arts to effectively attack, defend and manage distance. Once a student has demonstrated strong fundamentals, coaches will work with individuals through seminars, fight camps and private training to integrate a fighter’s stand-up, clinch and grounds skills, while also learning how to use the cage in both offensive and defensive situations.
